‘Personal data’ is any information about a living individual who can be identified from that data.  Identification can be by the information alone or in conjunction with any other information.  The processing of personal data will be governed by the new Data Protection Act.

Who are we?
This Privacy Notice is provided to you by NAGfencing who decides how your personal data is processed and for what purposes.

What data do we process?
Name and contact details such as telephone numbers and email addresses.

How do we process your personal data?
We will comply with our legal obligations to keep personal data up to date, to protect it, store and destroy it securely.

We use your personal data for the following purposes:
To keep a database of contact for club fencers
To send you communications regarding competitions and fencing related events/activities which are relevant to you.

What is the legal basis for processing your personal data?
The legal basis is that we have your explicit consent to our keeping you informed about our news, events and general information.

Sharing your personal data
Your personal data will be treated as strictly confidential.  It will not be shared with third parties.

How long do we keep your personal data?
We will keep your personal data no longer than the purpose for which it was collected.  

Your rights and your personal data
You have the following rights with respect to your personal data:

1) The right to receive a copy of the personal information we hold on you
2) The right to correct and update the information we hold on you
3) The right to have your information erased. When we receive your request we will confirm when the data has been deleted.
4) The right to withdraw your consent to the processing of data for which your consent was sought.  You can withdraw your consent by email or by post.
5) The right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Further processing
If we wish to use your personal data for a new purpose not covered by this Notice, then we will provide you with a new notice explaining this new use prior to commencing the processing and setting out the relevant purposes and processing conditions.  Where and whenever necessary we will seek your prior consent to the new processing.
